Post & Core Treatment
When a root-canal-treated tooth has lost too much structure for a crown alone, a post and core rebuilds a strong foundation inside the tooth — saving teeth that would otherwise need extraction.

Common questions
When is a post and core needed?
After RCT when more than half the natural crown structure is missing.
Is it better than extraction?
Keeping your natural root is almost always preferable when the tooth is restorable.
What comes after?
A crown is fitted over the core to complete the restoration.
